Partner, Darrell Latham, was one of the lead attorneys in Burgess vs. FarmersInsurance Co., Inc.  This was a class action lawsuit wherein the class members alleged that from 06/14/1994 through 06/12/2007 Farmers underpaid homeowner's insurance claims by failing to pay policy benefits for general contractor overhead and profit to insureds who were entitled to those benefits and further were not telling them about the policy benefit or when Farmers owed those policy benefits. 

05/13/2014 $3,000,000.00-Second largest jury verdict in history in Jackson County, Oklahoma.

Partners, Darrell Latham and Phil Nelson, were the lead attorneys in Aronoff vs. USAA.  Mr. Aronoff was injured in a car wreck and his damages exceeded the insurance policy limit ($25,000) of the driver of the at-fault vehicle.  Mr. Aronoff had underinsured motorist coverage on his own personal auto insurance policy with USAA with a limit of $500,000.00. USAA refused to pay Mr. Aronoff his policy limit, claiming his damages were less than $500,000.00.  The jury returned a verdict in favor of Mr. Aronoff finding his damages to be in the amount of $3,000,000.00, which is the second highest jury verdict in history in Jackson County, Oklahoma.
